Allison C. Collard

 

Allison C. Collard is Senior Patent Counsel and the founder of Collard & Roe. He established the firm forty years ago. Al practices in the areas of electronic and electro-mechanical patent prosecution, patent, copyright, and trademark litigation, as well as trademark cancellation and opposition proceedings. Al is a licensed engineer. He has advised a vast array of clients from individuals to large multi-national corporations. He is a member of various associations, including the American Bar, New York Bar, International Trademark Association, International Intellectual Property Society, and New York Intellectual Property Law Association.

Prior Experience
Al worked as an electronic design engineer at Airborne Instruments Labs and subsequently transferred to its patent department. He later worked for a major New York patent firm serving major international corporations. He chose to establish his own firm in 1966 in New York City.

Former Chair of the Intellectual Property Law Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association.
Noted speaker on patent litigation issues for various bar associations
Served as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.
Author of over 250 articles on Intellectual Property law. He has been published in the “National Law Journal,” “New York State Bar Journal,” “The Attorney of Nassau County,” “Nassau County Lawyer,” and the “Suffolk Lawyer.”
