Edward J. Callaghan

Edward J. Callaghan is
an associate at Collard & Roe. His practice focuses on patent prosecution and
litigation, particularly in the mechanical and chemical arts. He is a member of
the American Bar Association and the Nassau and Suffolk County Bar Associations
and has authored a number of articles on intellectual property law issues
published in the Nassau Lawyer, the Suffolk Lawyer and the Attorney of Nassau. There he gained extensive patent discovery and trial experience as a member of the litigation team that successfully defended a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer against invalidity claims on two patents relating to one of the world’s most widely-sold prescription drugs. While in law school, Ed served as a member of the Touro Law Review and was awarded a Dean’s Fellowship. Prior to practicing intellectual property law, Ed was a project engineer with a Long Island-based electronics firm and was awarded two U.S. patents for inventions relating to electronic article security devices.
