Aimee Kaplan recently spoke to over ninety medical professionals on the topic "Trademarks: How To Protect Your Mark(s)." The presentation was part of a two day seminar sponsored by UPMC Mercy and Mercy Heart Institute and held at Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Champion, Pennsylvania. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Members of our firm will be attending the INTA annual meeting in Berlin, Germany this May, and look forward to seeing old and new friends, associates and clients. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The numbers are in: Collard and Roe obtained more than 350 trademark registrations for its clients in 2007, both in and outside the United States. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ For over 200 years, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued patents and registered trademarks, and the U.S. Copyright Office has registered copyrights all to “promote the progress of science and the useful arts.” Although new applications for patents, trademarks, and copyrights are granted every day, sometimes older intellectual property is far more intriguing.
