OUR FIRM’S HISTORY
Collard & Roe, P.C. was established in 1966 by Allison Collard. Mr. Collard moved the firm from New York City to Long Island in the 1970’s in order to reduce overhead costs to provide top quality service at competitive prices. The firm has continued this cost-effective customer service philosophy throughout its over 55 year history. In recent years, the firm has engaged state-of-the-art technology and office efficiencies to ensure that Collard & Roe, P.C. maintains its tradition of providing world class service at competitive prices.
Mr. Collard has retired and has passed on the firm to his daughter, Elizabeth Collard Richter, to his son, William C. Collard, and to his trusted colleague Frederick J. Dorchak, who serves as President. The firm has grown over the decades due to its highly respected reputation and through the acquisitions of Nolte, Nolte & Hunter in 1998, Shenier and O’Connor in 2000, Bucknam & Archer in 2002, and Striker, Striker & Stenby in 2017.
Collard & Roe, P.C.’s exceptional service has allowed the firm to build relationships with clients that have lasted for decades. We realize that a client is not only seeking legal advice but is seeking a trusted advisor who will provide sage guidance taking a client’s unique goals and interests into account. The number of established clients who return to our offices for their intellectual property needs is our greatest compliment. We welcome new clients and look forward to build such trusted relationships with each and every firm or individual whom we serve.
